FULLY BOOKED

Sorry folks but we are now fully booked for home visits until January 2022. We still have a couple of spaces available in our classes starting in December.

Occasionally we do get cancellations, so send us an email and we can add you to the waiting list and there are still some limited appointments for online consults in December.

Services amendment

As the nights get darker, we are reviewing our risk assessment and amending some of our services over the winter months.

From 31st  October, we can still offer evening appointments except for those requiring outdoor work, such as loose lead training, recall, and behaviour treatment involving outdoor walking.

The latest appointment time for the above is 3 pm.

COVID-19 UPDATE

As restrictions continue to ease, we are gradually resuming our services. Classes are resuming, and face to face appointments can begin too.

This is great news; however, we are now in a position where we have three months worth of postponed classes and appointments to catch up with in addition to an influx of new enquiries.

If you are interested in booking an appointment, we will endeavour to get you booked with the minimal waiting time. As of the middle of April 2021, the waiting list is six weeks, and that’s with a seven-day working week.

Do not let that put you off contacting us, as we can offer online consults for cases that require urgent treatment.

COVID-19 SERVICES UPDATE

Here we go again. The start of another four-week lockdown will take us into December. This means that all classes and indoor visits are temporarily on hold.

Everyone who is currently signed up for a course with us will have received an email with what we will be offering over the coming weeks, and there’s plenty to keep everyone going.

We offer online training with videos, weekly half-hour phone sessions, and weekly Zoom appointments for those who want one-on-one advice. We also have handouts to support the exercises we will cover in the videos.

We look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Take care and stay safe 🙂

Chin Target

Lofty has had a few sessions of learning to chin target. This is his fourth. In the first few sessions, he was lured with the food until his chin touched my hand. Now he can do the behaviour without luring. This will be developed until he can sustain the behaviour for longer. It is a great exercise for husbandry.

Halloween

Have a Good Dog wants pets and their owners to have a Happy Halloween!

Halloween is lots of fun for kids and adults alike, but many dogs will be spooked and scared (and not in a fun way!) by people in fancy dress coming to your door. Have a Good Dog offers the following “thirteen” (well, it is Halloween after all) tips for dog owners, kids and parents:
